A new episode airs tonight at 7:30 PM Eastern. Here is the synopsis:

Eh, weak Roger disguise in the opening.

Makes me wonder how the writers manage to make the principal more and more depraved each week. I keep thinking that Lewis will eventually get himself killed by the time the show ends.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say the writers were going to kill Lewis in the premiere as one of the '100', then swapped him out for someone else at the last second because they realized just how screwed up he could get.

Good episode. I liked seeing Terry's berzerk button be pushed when the Smiths tried to sing in his kitchen.

The small moments with Stan and Francine breaking into song were my favorite parts of the episode.

B plot was pretty good as well, I do think Principal Lewis has really begun to shine in these antics with Steve and his friends. The Hitchcock joke was good too.

I lol'd when Roger left the musical parody just because they were singing gibberish and didn't want any part of it. Man, the writers must really like Principal Lewis since they have him hang around almost every episode. My favorite part in the end was when Barry miscalculated the amounts of bullets shot just so he could get back at the principal. It just goes to show that Barry can be clever when he's on his meds.

I don't enjoy sitting through Stan and Francine's marital problems, but at least I got a song out of it this time. I wanted to hear the whole thing.

It's getting predictable though. When he appeared I thought "what unsavory act is he going to be planning this time?" and sure enough...

The first act of this episode was all over the place, especially the first scene. What was going on there?! Suddenly this long gag is happening, then this long gag, then some plot, then a song, then a tiny bit of plot, now another unrelated gag... keep in mind, this isn't a set of scenes nor breaking them up via cutaways a la Family Guy, just one, bloated interrupted scene.

Luckily it seemed to shape up in the last two acts, but yes, a weak AD indeed. Another episode where Stan and Francine take their martial problems way too far, and then yet another wacky Principal Lewis thingy. I could do without it.

(oh and we never even went back to the gay couple [blanking on names] getting their marriage license)

Did they suddenly realize they could do a lot more with Principal Lewis then they have been or something? I mean I like the character and it's nice having someone fill in a role that would otherwise be used by Roger, but it just seems weird how much they have been using that character lately.

Still it's better then having Roger in all those roles.

Now that you mention it, they COULD have used Roger for a lot of those subplots, especially with the Haley/Jeff marriage counselor bit a few episodes back and this episode's card counting shenanigan. There would have been little change in dialogue/action, plus it would have been A LOT funnier to have Roger get shot by Barry miscounting the bullets.
