American Dad - "Family Affair" - Talkback [2/15]

I thought that too(about the Koala) and it was a bit out of left field, and really Klaus has become the "Meg" of the show.
The tier of AD episodes with the main characters goes like this:
1.Stan
2. Roger
3.Steve
4. Francine
5. Hayley
6.Klaus

The last decent episode he ever got was "Finances with Wolves" and maybe "Of Ice & Men".

Mediocre. The whole conceptual joke of "Roger being with another family = cheating on a spouse = addiction" wasn't really funny in and of itself, but they kept going on as if it were. It's like that Frasier episode where they act like caviar is cocaine. You gotta have more than just that one joke going on. And Steve was excruciatingly annoying, too.

Still better than Simpsons or Family Guy, though.

I'll give you this.

But I can only give you half of that. And you know which half. ;)

I just couldn't get behind this episode. How is Roger meeting these families? Why are they accepting him into their families? I can understand his connection to the Smiths since they know he's an alien, but why would another family just accept him into their family like that? Very little of this makes any sense.

And I'm starting to feel bad for Klaus.

Me and my sister kept on imitating the koala all night, man.

"Hey girl. Hey girl. Hey,girl....I know you hear me."

And also, I honestly laughed at Hayley's deadpan uninterested expression throughout most of this episode. No one else noticed that?

That's Hayley's expression generally, isn't it? In all of the episodes that I've seen, Hayley's general expression/attitude towards the proceedings ranges from disinterested to annoyed.
