American Dad - "Every Which Way But Lose" - Talkback [4/26]

Maybe they should develop sub plots like that. Up front she's all liberal feminist, but deep down she's that 50's "Leave it to Beaver" mother.
 
Despite what initially seemed like "yet another" Stan & Steve bonding plot, this episode took a different approach from last week's by focusing mostly on Steve & Roger trying to get back at Stan, with Stan only appearing in a few key scenes. I liked the ending with Steve trying to get Stan to cry.
 
A lot of the humor in this episode, as well as others, came from how the VAs delivered their lines. While I can't remember a lot of what Roger and Stan said specifically, I -do- remember laughing quite a bit.

And I liked how Stan actually had to learn how to cry, and how Steve's attempts to tug at his heartstrings were all shot down. (though I could've swore we saw Stan cry in previous episodes... or am I remembering wrong?)

Pie subplot didn't do much for me, though.
 
I did not expect Roger to win that contest.

I loved the pie subplot.

I also liked Steve's heartwarming speech to Stan at the end followed by "Stop ruining it!"

Great episode 9.5/10
 
All hell broke loose for me when Stan started being suicidal.

The sub-plot, though, felt messy, with Haley all of a sudden being Francine's rival, and just forgotten, with a rushy ending.
 
I agree, when the show was getting to the last ten minutes. I had a feeling they were going to rush it.

I thoguth the episode was allright, and I lol'd at how Roger attempted to make Stan cry. What was he thinking?!:sweat:

I don't know if some of you TZers were thinking like me, but I saw Steve's kick to Stan as payback for what he did to Steve in "Jack's back".
