American Dad - "Delorean Story-An" - Talkback [4/19]

Wait. Why can Family Guy get the rights to Alan Silvestri's BTTF score, but American Dad can't?!

And even more confusing: why was Family Guy hilarious and great tonight while American Dad was merely mediocre?

 WHAT KIND OF TOPSY TURVY WORLD IS THIS?!!

It was alright, but the Stan connecting with Steve formula is kind of getting old. I'm not a big fan of Back to The Future, but the references were few and in-between so I didn't feel flooded by them.

I really liked Francine and Roger's adventure ideas, and Haley proving she isn't boring. It's this kind of stuff that makes them different from Lois, Meg and Chris. They may not be the most popular, but they have thier own lives and personalities.

The Tortoise and the Hare joke felt very Family Guy-esque.

Was I the only one expecting Stan and Steve to get in trouble for not having a back license plate due to Steve's little stunt with it and the fire? It was awesome, though. Made this fan-boy squeal in delight.

Also quite possible. And actually, I give the composer more credit for a sound-alike than using the actual thing. It takes a lot of talent to make a melody sound strikingly similar but not use the specific sequence of notes from the source it's parodying.

:^:Agreed.:^: If American Dad has a Meg, it's Klaus. He only got about 2 lines in this episode. I don't even think that Meg should be the Meg of Family Guy, but I've gone into that before, so I won't repeat myself here.
