Amazing Grace

I haven't seen it and i don't really intend to, i can't see how the Americans can make a story about a slave trader who wrote a song into some kind of hero story considering he was still trading slaves (and killing a bunch of them) while writing it... Sorry for been negative but i just wanted someone to tell me that the film industry aren't that desperate...

I saw Amazing Grace yesterday. I found it very moving, and it's the best film I've seen in a long time. The acting is superb, especially Ioan Grufford (Wilberforce), Benedict Cumberbatch (William Pitt the Younger), Albert Finney (John Newton), Michael Gambon (Charles Fox).

I found it a refreshing change to watch a film that is based on dialogue rather than gung-ho action as a lot of movies are today. The message in Amazing Grace is very powerful, and I especially admired the emphasis on William Wilberforce's faith, convictions and beliefs.

I would rate it 9/10.
