Five eggs in a steamer basket with an inch of water (per Ranee)
Ten minutes at high heat, ten minutes off heat (per Ross)
Shells pricked (per Nancy and me)

They're on their second ten minutes right now. Stay tuned.

Did you lay those eggs yourself? hehe

I would never bother for five measly eggs. I always boil 14 jumbo
eggs because thats what fits comfortably in my six quart pot. I love
egg salad and sliced egg sammiches. Sometimes (like once a year) I
boil three dozen, I really love pickled eggs.

Nope, I'd tell you I tried it, didn't have your success, and will stick
with the way I've been cooking them.

I have an electric egg cooker that cost me $2. Works like a charm.

It takes up to 7 eggs and makes them from soft to hard boiled and
anywhere in between.

Yes, which is why I rarely boil more than one or two
eggs. I could kill someone if I ate 14 eggs, even
spread out over the week it would take me to eat
that many.

Possibly Sheldon has seen Cool Hand Luke too many
times.

Damn! Now I have to shoot myself! I
think I noticed a small green line on one or two. Less than perfect but
unnoticeable in my deviled eggs because I scraped off the green part
with a scalpel before processing them for the filling.

Yeah, Nancy Dooley uses an egg cooker, too. I think I'll try a
soft-cooked egg or two, too. Would I time it the same way I'd time it
were it submerged in water?
