I have liked every film that Tarantino has released & imho, anything that pokes fun at the Nazis & Hitler has gotta be worth a watch, so am really looking forward to this. :D

How about everyone else ?

Apparently it's been 10 years in the making.....saw a review last week giving it the thumbs up but it had reservations about the films length (157 minutes)....

Yep, really looking forward to it, too. I wouldn't go as far as to say I've liked everything that Tarantino has done but IB looks really good.

... And Kill Bill was so long it had to be split into two volumes.

I think the length is a bad sign. It suggests no-one has yet found the courage to edit Tarantino.

I loved Grindhouse (though am aware that's a rare opinion!)

I don't really see the problem with the length of the film. It's not even 3 hours. Can't wait :D

ETA: My biggest worry is Brad Pitt, who I can't stand as an actor ... though I trust Tarantino, and in the trailer he does look right for the part.

Agree with your post totally.

Loved Grindhouse but IB doesn't do it for me one bit. I'd sooner not sit through another Brad Pitt film, so I'll be giving this one a miss. And from the trailers it just looks so wrong, so contrived and everyone looks so so miscast in that film.

Hear it didn't go down too well at Cannes either.

You can guarantee that at least 10 minutes of that running time will be credits though, so it's more like 147/150 minutes. Besides, it's been getting very positive reviews so i wouldn't worry too much. In fact i read one the other day that said the running time just flys by.

I really didn't like 'Death Proof' or the two 'Kill Bill' movies, but this looks more like "classic" Tarantino to me (by which i mean 'Pulp Fiction' and 'Reservoir Dogs' quality).
