Am I wrong? UGH!

I'm not entirely sure that smoking is your weakness, more a lack of willpower. Quitting smoking isn't as hard as people make it out to be, nicotine is easy to quit. It's that giant, gaping hole in your life left by the absence of the activity of smoking that's the killer. Find something new to do to occupy your time. Preferably something you've never done while smoking, or something that doesn't cause you to smoke afterwards. (shame that puts continual masturbation out of the picture.) And if you're forced to munch on something, eat something healthy, like grapes, or baby carrots. You can quit smoking without gaining thirty pounds.

Errr, right. Back on topic: Yea, your friend is being stupid. I hated when people would bum smokes off of me when they had their own, and the reason they wanted mine was because they're free.. to them. fuckers...At any rate, good luck with your quitting, I'm sure a badass chica like you can handle it. Just remember, it only takes one cigarette to be a smoker..

It's time you tell her: look bitch, i gave you a fucking pack of cigaettes. There are only 3 more left in my pack, and im trying to quit. If these finnish, I know I'll buy another pack and then itll be screwed up. If you want to smoke, bring your own cigarettes and from the next time, you buy your own.

Have you ever stopped and thought that perhaps she is more of a smoker than you think her to be? I mean COME ON! It's not worth it to anger your friend for a smoke when you have some, A WHOLE PACK! at home. Don't you think she would know that? Anyway, just putting some ideas out there.

BTW: Are you going to confront her with her possible unimaginably large, smoking habit?

she is messed up. id say not to give her anymore or just dont smoke around her. and damn tell her to get a job. like nymph said they are too damn expensive to pay for anyone else

I am going to have to agree with you on this one BklynCannonball. Now, I was never that much of a smoker though I did have a casual smoking thing when I was with my friends. I bummed smokes once in a while and it made me feel like crap, but I would NEVER take a cig if it was one of the last ones. I think that if she tries to pull that again you should just say, I'm almost out, no. Have her buy her own. There is no reason she should have asked you, except maybe laziness.

Good luck on your quitting though. It's not an easy thing to stop doing and it takes a lot of strength. As happyninja said, try to get hooked on something else, something healthy. Good luck!

Tell the mooch that you only have one more, and then kindly point out the fact that she's a cigarette-leaching-no-job-having-don't-have-5-on-it-bbbiiiiiaaaatch. :)

Yeah...a few of my friends and I had a system to prevent that mooching sort of thing. Back during my hazy-days we would all chip in for however much we wanted...and if you didn't pay, you didn't get any. You should tell your friend that you can't support her habit or something.

hmmm, I bet I can find a few million people that disagree with that. I mean, I smoked for 8+ years and I'll tell you every time I tried to quit it was HELL.

FYI, nicotine is extremely addictive because it stays in your system much longer than after the smoke clears. Nicotene lingers in your system and releases itself every few days (even after you've quit) for 10 days (maybe longer I forget). So if you can last 14 days without them, the roughest part of quitting is over.

I do agree that everything else associated with smoking and the lifestyle you live while doing so is a huge adjustment too though.

and back to the point, your friend is being selfish. I hated giving my cigs to "social smokers" I figured it was a waste since half of them don't even inhale the damned things.
