The police are either going to make a statement of what happened or they are gonna take your mug shot and/or finger prints for there records. but as the other person said if they wanted to do anything they would have done it that night and there is a possibility that they have dealt with these security guards before and are not telling you something1

Hello, i am a girl who is twenty years of age. i would like your help as on saturday past i was arrested and i would like to know if i'm in the right. i was with three friends on a night out when my friend had too much to drink and was told to leave, the bouncers were lovely about the situation and we all had a wee joke about my friends current state and they told us to come back again another time, and to look after her. so we left the club helping our friend, when we were approached by security people who patrolled the arena. One of the security men commented on my looks laughing at how i apparently looked like Kerry Katona and proceeded to call me "fatty" and "kerry" infront of his work collagues. i tried not to retaliate as he was fishing for trouble, so we proceeded to the exit, at this point they started to follow, for this reason i am still inaware. I linked arms with my sober friend as there following was intimating. And as we approached the door, only when they seen people they started making a scene and pushing me and my friend very voilently and repeatedly. i have recieved brusing from the shoving/pushing on my arms and back. I turned around in the heat of this and threw my weight into the security people hitting one to the side of the face. Then all of a sudden it stopped and he said thats assault. Please can you tell me am i in the wrong to do what i did? when the police arrested me they were 100% sure i was spending the overnight in a cell. then they looked at CCTV and let me go but i have to come back and be recorded, what does this mean?

If they started pushing you and you defended yourself then it is self defence. If the Police were going to charge you they would have most likely done it on the night and served you with a court attendance notice or a fine. However, I'd take along some legal counsel for the meeting with them.
