Am I weird? Why do people of my race hate me or make fun of me?

All the girls I've dated on are are outside my race, and my current girlfriend is white, is there something wrong with an asian guy dating white girls or other races besides my own and is attracted outside his own race,

Why does my family and friends who are asian, hate me or make fun of me? They say I should feel attracted to people of my own race, but somehow I don't. If it is weird, how do I start to make myself attracted to my own race?
 
It obviously appears to your family and friends that skin color has more to do with your choice of women than who the woman really is. You've got a color fixation.
 
You can't change who you're attracted to.
From what I know, it's part of asian culture to act that way. I remember my friend in high school was Korean, and we really liked each other but he explained he couldn't date me because other asians would view him as a traitor and outcast him. It's a matter of pride and cultural honor.
I can't say I support those values.... but I hope that helps
 
They're only saying that so that you will get married possible to someone in your own race and not have any cultural / religous problems later.....
 
It's this idea of "loyalty" and "betrayal" that is put out by many groups. Going "outside the group" for anything results in being ostracized.
This doesn't apply to EVERYONE but I know it's a big deal in the black communiy, the middle-eastern community and catholic community.
So I'm guessing it's also an asian issue and your family & friends are part of it.
 
some families have strong believes about that... but in the end its wat makes u happy and u shouldnt let it get to u..
 
theres nothing wrong with being attracted to a different race man.. i am not attracted to my race either..stop caring so much about what people think about you...ive never dated my race..my current girlfriend is white and we have so much love for each other and thats all that matters..goodluck..
 
that's not weird. you can like anyone you want. who cares what your family says you have to be with the person not them, it's as if they'd rather you be unhapy with an Asian person than happy with someone of another race. Just make sure you truly care for your partners and don't just want them simply for their race and it's fine. Only laundry should be separated by color
