Am i weird just for that? I need help!?

Um, well, you see, this problem is a lot like bella and jacob in twilight. You know how bella is older than jacob and they love each other so? Yeah well im sort of like that. This kid used to have a crush on me and when i found out well i freaked out and started to really be mean and everything. Now, well i really hurt him, he wont even want to look at me! I just don't know what to do. I tried to apologize and he said no because he knows its not true and that i hate him. Which of course i don't. Every time i see him i turn a bright red. i love him! but i don't think he likes me anymore because i was being mean to him and stuff. It's horrible and i feel guilty like if i want to die! What should i do? is it right to love someone that's just one year younger than you? Does age even matter?
 
Age is just a number. but u don't love him, ur not ready for love until u r like 20. you need to have a talk with him, a full on sit down conversation. tell him how you feel
 
My girlfriend is 1.5 years older than me so not that really doesn't matter. Now to the problem, right him a note or have a friend write one as to say she is going 'behind your back' and telling how you secretly feel, or do it yourself.
