Am I weird because I never want kids or pets?

I personally never want to have children. I hated being a kid and teenager. I'm sort of an ageist. I won't get into further details because many will probably find my words offensive.

As for pets, I believe pets are a lot of responsibility like dogs or cats. They whiz and crap anywhere in the house. If I did want a pet, it would be a human-like monkey or a talking parrot. At least I don't have to take them to school everyday.

So am I really weird because I never want to have children or pets?
 
no...you're not weird, as a matter of fact, you seem to be incredibly smart. lol.
 
no your not weird , everyone has their own opinions in life i agree i have to dogs and their a pain in my but and i dont have kids im only 13 lol but dont think your weird bcuz u dont like kids or pets no one is gonna force you to have a pet or kid
 
no,u r not.there r many people out there who looks like u maybe cuz of 1 reason-u hate being tied down.it's ok but as long as u feel good about urself,why bother what people think about u!just be urself cuz life still've to go on!
 
no, i dont like kids very much either. well i would like to have one but only if magically i get past the crying pooping only stage. you are weird because you think it would be....weirdo lol
 
No, you're not strange at all. It also doesn't mean that you can't change. A lot of guys I know didn't want kids until they hit 35 and then they started thinking about it constantly (I think it was the realization that 40 was looming).
I would however caution you about the pets. If you don't want a cat or a dog because of cleanliness issues, you really wouldn't want a bird. They are much filthier. They pick at themselves constantly, they have a lot of bacteria, and their feathers and dander fly through the house. Cats and dogs can be well behaved if trained properly. Most people don't take the time to do that, and then they blame the animal when it doesn't poop where it's supposed to.
It seems to me that if you don't want pets or children, you shouldn't have them. They deserve to be in a loving home where they are wanted. Pets and children don't just take, they actually give quite a bit... if you care about what they have to give. Some people are selfish, which isn't necessarily a bad thing in life, just not a good quality for a parent or pet owner.
 
No you are not weird you just know your limits. As you said Pets are a lot of responsibility, so are children, maybe some day you'll change your view on both but for now you should find like minded friends that share your ideals, there are a lot of people out there like you, you're not weird.
