Last weekend my Ex husband picked up our 2 and 5 yr old kids. He gets them every other Sunday. While he had them, he let his mother cut their hair. She cut about 4 inches off my 5 yr old daughters hair layered it and gave her bangs. and she cut my 2 yr old sons bangs.
I was really upset when they came home because neither of them called me and asked if they could or even how i like to have it. She is not a professional by the way. I asked my ex when he dropped off why they didn’t ask and he said his mom did it while he was out. I emailed his mother who stated He said it was okay. I told her that even if he did they should have called and made sure it was okay with me. She said he was their father and didn’t have to "check anything with me". I am really upset because yes he is their dad but he only has them 2 days a month. I am the primary guardian and I am the parent that has to deal with the everyday stuff. Am I over reacting?
And in case you are wondering if I liked the way she cut it, no I didn’t.
My daughter has very curly hair and so now that she has bangs and layers she looks like a wild child because it goes every which way. and I can’t even pull it back with headbands or clips because the layers are too short. And my sons bangs we so uneven that I had to take him in to a salon and get his hair cut super short.
