Am I not just being extorted? Buy something I don't want (health insurance) or be fined

I am being extorted when you fail to buy insurance, get hurt in a car accident, run up ER bills you can't pay, and then dump the cost on the hospital and the rest of us. You can either keep your private insurance or go with the government insurance option under the proposed plan, and there would be no excuse not to, as the government option would actually be affordable.

Either way, you need insurance instead of being irresponsible and dumping your bills on the rest of us.
