I have a older 4700 bell reciever and I wanted to upgrade the sat. dish so I can get the fight channel and wild TV.

I was told that I needed a upgrade kit for the end of the sat dish and I would good to go.

So I ordered the upgrade kit and there is no new dish and just one end piece. I thought that I needed a new dish and something so that you have dual end pieces?

Am I on crack or do I just replace the end piece and realigne the dish?

Any help would be great. I have search but have not found anything that helps me out.

Any links with instructions would be helpful also.

We have a promotion right now where you pay the piece (89.99$) on a credit card, get FREE professionnal installation of the piece, then get refunded the cost of the piee on YOUR EXPRESS VU ACCOUNT

Read the topic:Cheapest way to get HD, you'll see all the details on the promo if your read the last page

The upgrade "kit" is meant for a 20" dish (with skew) only.

If you do not have this dish, then you need the full package (20" dish, y-adapter, LNB, etc).

If you don't have the right dish size they will bring you one as part of the promo...with free installation! No hassle to find the sat82 signal, tech willl do it for you!

Nope, we are not permitted to "give" the customer a new Dish, the only way they get one is from a Level 3 Tech Support person.

Again our info differs.

Either way, with a new HD capable dish you get several more holes in your roof in order to move to HD.

Reminds me of The Beatles 'n' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ... "I'm fixing a hole where the rain gets in" ....

Why would you get more holes? The 20" dish mounts on the same mast as the original 18" dish.

Cables are usually not run through the roof :-)

I agree with you dosborne but every now and again the Dish will have to be moved for Nimiq 2 reception.

Its amazing how many upgrade calls we go out to where the location of the Dish can ONLY see 91 degrees.

In most instances you are correct, mounting the 20" pan on the existing mast, however it does not always work.

Hell, we even get to some houses and have to tell the customer who just bought all the HD goodies that we can't GET Nimiq 2 from their property, it's rare but does happen.
