I'm installing a stereo in my truck and I'm doing my final checklist.
starting from the front of the truck I have all the fuses and wires to power the two amps I"m intalling. speakers, subs and head unit are all accounted for. the only thing i think I still have to get is a distribution block and some sound deadening material for the doors and what not. any suggestions on missing items? also before I start I was told to wire up my 4ohm subs at a 2ohm final load, won't I get distortion from the subs? Is there any other little thing I should be advised of before I start as this is only my third stereo install and this one is miles and miles from what I've done before. any help would be greatly greatly appreciated

Did you get any Capacitors? If not I recommend you to get them from the link ill provide

like the guy above, definitely get a cap. I recommend Fosgate myself, but thats just my opinion. also make sure your amp can handle a 2ohm mono load if you plan on running it mono. I assume its a 2 channel amp? other than that, if you are coming from the battery with a larger wire than going into the amp, you WILL need some dist blocks. and to answer your question about the distortion. you will usually get more power out of a 2ohm load, and if it is too much for your subs, then yes, you will get distortion.
