ok.. im a 17 year old male and im going to be 18 in about 5 months if that matters. I recently have been experiencing pain in my lower left jaw but whats weird about it is it only hurts on the inside.I look in the mirror but i cant tell to much whats going on. I imagine the outline of the top of a tooth but i think im just seeing what i want to. It does not hurt when i talk or eat.. well it does a little when i eat and when i touched it..i feel no pain on the top of my gums but on the inside of my gums by my tongue in the back it is kinda painful. I think its a bit swollen.I dint feel anything in the other three spots that i should get wisdom teeth which is why im worried it may be something else. I don't take extremely well care of my teeth but they are not horrible. i have about 4 fillings where i have had cavities in my molars on the top and bottom. None of my actual teeth hurt but my gums do where the supposed tooth may be coming in. So my main questions are What does this sound like to you? Is it normal for a male my age to start getting his wisdom teeth? How long would it take to grow in? (can i get them pulled out before it breaks skin) and if its not me getting my wisdom teeth, what else could it be? I plan on going to a dentist soon but i am just nervous and would like to know from others from experience or maybe something else what they think this might be. I would prefer information from someone like a dentist or something like that but i appreciate every answer i get.
