I will be going to college next year and I was wondering if there is any chance at all that I would be in with a chance of a sports scolarship in my own country, Ireland, or any other country.
I am very involved in a sport called surf lifesaving. It is an olympic class two sport. It is well known in australia but not any where else really. I have competed for my club the past four years and made it to nationals all of those years. I ranked second out of all of ireland in my catagory at nationals last year and our club came first overall. The past two years inclusive I have made the irish training panel and this year I qualified to represent Ireland in the european under 19 surf lifesaving championships in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, this is the highest standard of competition for my age group. I was wondering if this is enough for me to be concidered for a scholarship anywhere or is the sport not well known enough?
