Hello everyone,

New to this site so I suppose it is best to introduce myself and I hope there are others who feel like I do or have had similar symptoms.
I am 46 years old and recently was sent to get checked out at hospital because I was complaining of chest tightness.
I had all the test done and they said I was ok apart from having high cholesterol. I told the doctor about all my worries which there are a lot and I have been under a lot of constant stress and anxiety for a long time in fact years.
I am going to lose my job in 4 weeks has I am being made redundant, I have money problems my partner does not know about. Here is a list.
Being made redundant
Money worries in debt
Low self esteem
Not had sex in over 6 years
I feel worthless
I feel ugly
I feel fat
I talk to myself have done since being 10 years old
I am a closet cross dresser I don

Get your Testosterone check.

you have all the classic symptoms of Low T. Anxiety, wieght gain, heart issues, tiredness, low self esteem, etc.. etc...

I bet you that your T levels are super Low and with the proper Hormone Replacement Therapy you will start to feel a hundred times better.

I would do that before you let the doc put you on some type of anti depressant. because I can assure you that you will walk out that clinic with a script for some anti-Dep..

All they do is here your symtoms and start you with some anti-dep.. if that does not work, they just move you from one anti-DEp. to another and keep changing the dosage until something works.

And while it may help you feel better it won;t correct the problem really and usually they seem to work in the begining but then after a few months your back to feeling your old way again.

In addition it won't help with your weight problems or libido or you other health issue which could be caused by Low t and will get corrected by proper treatment. You need to see why you are feeling depressed there is more to it physilogically than just well I;m depressed cause my life is messed up.

Anyways if you do indeed have Low T, I would then try to go see an Endo or Urologist for treatment.

Hope this helps.

Hi darryl, you are not alone. I feel many, many of the symptoms you have. By the way, it doesn't matter if you are married and have family, which I do, I still feel hopeless, worthless, anxious, fat and ugly. I also have many other health issues and chronic pain.

Just want to give you support. I take some anxiety meRAB, but it only helps a bit. It's good to have someone to talk to--that helps the most.

Thank you Rita,

Great to hear I am not alone although I know that its just hard to cope with at times. I never thought being streesed and wooried can cause such problems with ones health.
How do you cope with things?

thanks again
Darryl

Try exercising. I am somewhat forcing myself to these days. It is extremely tough but feels good and makes a difference. Even something light like walking around the block.
