Hi, I'm a college student currently living on campus. I have my own shotgun, which I have to keep at my parents house because campus policy prohibits any type of weapon, including guns and knives obviously, so I'm hoping to get a home off campus so that I can keep my guns with me instead of my parents. But since townhomes are technically not my property, since it is RENTED, do I still have a right to keep guns in my home, or is it up to the company?

according to the 2nd amendment "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" i believe that the 2nd amendment is the most important because it secures all others. i do not believe in abiding by any local or state laws or even campus policies that infringe upon the right to keep and bear arms. keep them safely hidden so no one knows... and if at some point you need to excersice your right to bear arms, just remember its better to be tried by 12 than carried by six.

There are no laws in place allowing a private renter to disallow the possession of a firearm in a rented home. Weapons are banned on college campuses by law in most states.

Yes. You can own guns on a rented property. If it's rented through the school then no.
