I asked this already kind of.. I have been itching and just feeling weird for about 2 weeks now. Sometimes I notice a small red bump where is itches and sometimes i don't, I have also noticed daily headaches. I have not changed any of my products, ate anything different, nor I have I taken any new medications. The only medication I am on is Oxycodone and I have been on this medication for almost 2 years. I have a fear that I am now allergic to it. I can not just stop this medication as I have been on it daily but I am worried to keep taking it. I don't know what to do really. I am allergic to Codien, Pencillen and strawberry's. My mom said when I had these I turned red and swelled up so bad that my eyes were little slits. Does it sound like I am having an allergic reaction to something and if so do you think it could be the Oxy even though I have been on it so long? My fear is that my throat is going to swell shut and I am going to die. Sometimes I feel hot in certain spots. Its really strange. I don't have any hives or swelling that I can see.

Anyone with knowledge out there that can give me some advice??

I have been to the DR and she gave me cream. I am going to call again 2marro and let them know that things are not better.

I mean I take the Oxy everyday, Have been like this for 2 weeks so it has to be something I have been having everyday? I really don't know how allergies work.

Thanks

Yes, one can become allergic to something overnight that has never bothered them before. I've had that happen with a couple of drugs. So, it could be that or it could be any nuraber of other things: stress, a change in laundry detergent, lotion, something in your water, bath soap, etc. They can test you to see if you are allergic to the drug. Have you taken an antihistamine? Benedryl works well for rashes but will make you sleepy so bedtime is best for it. Zyrtec also works well for rashes and you could take it in the AM as it typically does not cause drowsiness.

Last suggestion: see an allergist.

Also if you just bought a new batch, they have started other chemicals to the drug (preservatives and other). You could be reacting to that chemical.
