I am a 22 year old male... just fyi
Since March-April I have been battling constant flu's and infections. Before this began, I was never sick. I never had the flu, infections, what ever, I was never sick.
Then in mid-March I began to get sick. It was a pretty bad flu, or at least I hope it was. Sore throat, post nasal drip, coughing, and just felt bad.
After a week and a half of battling the flu, I had a "pretty bad" ear infection that was painful for almost two weeks. I was on antibiotics for a week and a half.
It seemed like I was finally over the ear infection when I began to get severe pain in my cheeks with a headache. No matter how much headache medication I took, I could not get rid of the headache. I soon found out after a CT-Scan that I had a sinus infection. My doctor put me back on antibiotics, and sure enough the pain went away.
The sinus infection lasted a good two weeks, but I finally got over it. It was only a matter of time before my sore throat came back. It was pretty sore, and I was taking like 10 cough drops a day to relieve the pain. After extensive blood work, I was told I had the Epstein-Barr virus, which means it was mono.
Has anyone ever heard of someone getting this many infections in a row? I am wondering if it may be some immune disease.
