Alvin and the Chipmunks Live-Action Movie

The wikipedia article is calling it a "Live Action Cartoon." When will people learn that such a thing is, in the immortal words of Groucho Marx, "a contradiction in terms" ?
And yes, toilet humor=unfunny.

people see the poster and automatically
OMG THTS DE OFFICALAEE IMAGE!!

i remember the cartoon having them dress up
in all kinds of clothing. none of it was officially
their default (if you want to call it that)
clothing

honestly. i dont get what is so "Ghetto"
about it. that makes it seem cheap.

How the hell were we supposed to know? It was on the offical poster after all. And if you knew it wasin't the official image, then why didin't you bring up that possibility before?

Bah! I'd say Bratz is. This, at least, has the pontential to make some cute catchy songs (since it is the chipmunks and all).

Bratz? Has nothing.

Hmm, I saw The Dark Knight preview at my screening. You didn't miss much; it was just the Batman logo slowly eroding with some narration bits in there too. There was no actual movie footage.

As for Alvin and the Chipmunks. To be honest I've always found their high-pitched voices annoying, but I'm glad they kept them for consistency's sake. I think the miniaturizing to actual size works; I think it would look odd to see life-sized chipmunks standing next to Dave.

I dunno, it's hard for me to get excited about something that is not only a typical "Hollywood milks a franchise" film but based on two series I was never particularly fond of (the '80s series especially).
