alright will this set up for my fish work? what can i add?

alright i have...
a 10 gallon with heater and filter it has
female betta
mollie
juli catfish
goldfish



I have a 1 gallon with no heater it has...
a male betta

i no the male betta cant have any friends my goldfish is from the fair he is a common...i think. He has been living for 6 or 7 months he is healthy and happy.
i am planning to buy a 20 gallon in about 1 or 2 months for my goldfish when i get a bigger tank what 3 or 4 inch when adult fish should I get?
