Breastfeeding?
Bottle feeding?
Co-sleeping?
Extended breastfeeding?
Baby Wearing?
Vaccinations?
Cry it out method?
Spanking?
Circumcision?
I breastfed my daughter, so I am for breastfeeding and extended breastfeeding. She nursed until she was 19 months old.
I have nothing against bottle feeding, if breastfeeding didn't work out for me, I wouldn't of been upset to bottle feed.
We co-slept for the first 8 months of her life.
I love the idea of baby wearing, but I didn't very often. I will more with our second baby.
My daughter gets vaccinated. There have been a few that the doctor wanted but weren't necessary, so we said no to them.
I haven't used the CIO method, nor will I ever. That's just my choice.
I admit my daughter has been spanked twice, and I regret it. We decided to use time outs, which work much better.
We don't have a boy, and I really don't know where I stand on circumcision yet. I guess we'll jump over that hurdle when the time comes.
What are your view on these?
I agree- crying for an hour or more is terrible, but we did let Emma cry for about 5 minutes or less, nothing longer. Was usually when I couldn't get to her right away.
I know every child is different. We co-slept because I was breastfeeding, and when they're that little and want to nurse every 2 hours, it just makes it easier. Yea, I guess I used it for myself. But we had no problems what so ever switching her over to her own bed. I don't think i'd co-sleep over 8-10 months though, just for that reason.
Desmera- you didn't irritate me
I just wanted people opinions, no judging involved.
As for the baby wearing, i completely agree. A baby doesn't need to be held all the time. My daughter did perfectly fine jumping in her jumparoo, laying on a blanket, or walking around in her walker when she was smaller and I was doing housework. I like the idea of baby wearing, but not 24/7 at all!
By the way, I'm not giving thumbs down.
jax's mama- My daughter is 22 months, and when she throws big fits, I just let her. I'm against CIO when they are infants, but as for the toddler, I just let her scream too!
karma- My daughter was exclusively breasfed for 4-5 months... And then introduced to baby food/cereal/solid accordingly. I just continued to bf for 19 months.
