thats not the issue.? Im buying this from a friend. Its incredibly cheap and ive known this kid for about 7 years now. Now he told me he drove it to his house from Newburg and it ran relatively fine, but the next day it wouldnt turn over. The battery is fine because he listens to music in the car. I thought it was the starter, but when i got into the car the air filter was full of water on the ground(it rained a couple days before, im assuming its been out of the car for awhile now) and the MAF sensor was sitting on the side where the hood closes. We ghetto rigged the MAF sensor and, without hooking up the air filter because i know that would sieze the engine if it were to turn over, plugged it in. I turned the key and....!!! no luck ><. i had firiends tand around placements of the car and watch certian parts. The alternator works fine, battery gets full spark. In our own placement its the MAF sensor but its still here. Like its just sitting right in front of us perfectly unharmed(except for some slight bends but bending it back wasnt a problem at all, nothing snapped or anything). Now the main question is how to get it to run. I dont care if it runs well, i just need to bring it from his house to mine. Please give me all possible troubleshooting tips you can with instructions for each one. Like "if its not this, its this. How to check is this way. You might have to do this, this, this, and this to figure out this is the problem, and you do this by..." Will be the best help you can give me. Thank you very much Yahoo users!!!

FIRST: You must have a good battery and if the battery is over 4 years old, it needs to be replaced with a new one. A radio can run on a small AA or AAA battery, but a AA or AAA battery cannot start an automobile engine!! You can have the battery charged and tested at your local auto parts store for free and know it's condition for certain.

the first thing you need to do is get a battery that you know is good and strong. if it will won,t turn over and start then try tapping on the starter, they will stick sometimes. it don,t take much juice to listen to the radio but to start the car you have to have a good strong battery to turn it over. also check out the cables and make sure they are in good shape, clean and tight.

I dont know what you checked yet but my answer sounds simple but check the fuses all of them. I had a car the fuses kept it from turning over and running. you are not getting power to the starter make sure the battery cables are tight and the wires to the starter are tight
