alpine subs + amp in grandam?

i ordered two 12in alpine type r's (2 ohms each) and a Alpine MRP-M1000 amp, going to have a ported box also. think this system would hit hard in a grand am? back seats up or down? any window flex with lows? let me know what to expect lol or opinions
 
1000 watts rms..so yeah its gonna hit hard, it would hit hard in any car, you can leave the backseat up but i dont think your gonna get any window flex...expect alot of stares from other cars and people on the street..haha,,,,,and dont be surprised if another car decides to crank up his system if they hears yours
 
You will be very loud. Probably a lot of rattles on the outside of your car that will sound bad and attract Cops.

Back seats down, front windows cracked and you will get tried of the pounding.

Sound quality will be more important than noise tickets

I think the coolest thing about systems is building them.

Right now I want to build a 4 -JL 12 inch box. System only last me 6 months and Im building a new one. It is a very cool hobby.

You've got a real good start.
 
i have a 2002 grand am with 2 12"s in it, seats down for sure

trunk rattles like shit tho, your going to need to line the whole thing with dynamat extreme to get the best from it, with the seats down my subs hit so hard you can hear the air whistling as its squeezing out of the holes in the trunk to get out, its bad ass

go to 4:45 to see how bad the trunk will rattle (thats with the dynamat, its 10x worse without) and it gets loud and annoying at times lol
