Alpine multimedia stereo un-install?

I need to remove an Alpine multi-media DVD stereo deck with a motorized pop-up screen from a 2004 Land Rover Discovery. Does anyone know the secret to this? Or even how to gain access through the dash to be able to remove a stereo?
