Alpine amp and Kicker cvx help please?

I have a 12" Kicker CVX subwoofer in a ported box. I know this sub is 750 watts rms, but I have it hooked up to an alpine mrp m450 amp that is pushing 400 watts rms at 2 ohms to the sub. It sounds great but I just wanted to know if it is okay to continue to play the system without having to worry about any amplifier or subwoofer problems?

The amp has never "cut off" or overheated. I have a 2 farad capacitor also if that helps.
Is this okay? Or should I invest in a bigger amp/smaller sub?

Yes, you are totally fine. The capacitor is totally useless though.

You only need a bigger amp if you are not satisfied with the output. If you are happy with the system, leave it be.

PS is your gain set correctly? If its too high, you can damage the sub. The gain is not a volume knob.

There is a myth that "underpowering blows speakers", which is totally false. The reason people believe this is, they get an amp thats too small, and jack the gain all the way up, since they want more output, and they fry the sub. So if your gain is set good and you are happy, theres no reason to change anything.
