For those who are interested in the actual Case and what Nick's mother thought of the movie, she posted this a couple of days ago on the Court T.V. Messageboard. It's in spoiler Tags, just in case for those who don't know a thing about the case it's based on and the outcome.
[sp]Sorry it's been such a long time since I have been on.
I can't remember the last time I posted so I am not sure what you are needing to know. Guess I'll start with me
I am doing really well right now! 80 days sober has been a big part of that! I was drinking trying to feel and escape at the same time. Which makes no sense but non-sense! But that was me. I since my last hospitalization, March of 2007 have been going to outpatient treatment three nights a week and getting a lot out of it. I am feeling very energetic these days. Did you know that painting can be done with two hands without the in the other! Who knew! LOL And folding laundry doesn't have to take an hour haha.
Ok let's see about the Movie Alpha Dog, I hope everyone sees it. They portrayed Nick in a good light which is all I cared about. They exaggerated on Ben, his half brother, and on my weight, both I could care less. The story needs to be seen there are many messages in it for kids. I hope all walk away and never forget Nick.
Graham Pressley was paroled yesterday. I was there and wished him well. I have followed my heart on this particular kid, now young man, and I have no doubt he will make a positive difference in society. I talked to him about the possibility of us going to High Schools to answer questions after they see Alpha Dog. He was ready to go.
I still have no information on the Jesse James Hollywood trial! I will let you know when I find something out.
I just want you to know that all your support and prayers along with some Higher Power is keeping me here. I thank you all from the bottom of my soul.
((Hugs))
