I don't know if they do or not, but have you read the books? If you have don't expect too much from the films. If you haven't read the books you will probably love it!!
They are great books. I've read all Alex Cross series books by James Patterson except for the newest one that came out recently.
Unfortunately I haven't seen any of the films. Are they any good? I'd have thought they'd have gotten a different actor to play Alex in the films. Morgan Freeman is good but I've never thought of him having the physical presence like Alex does in the books.
Both books are awesome and Kiss the Girls is a pretty good film too, but Along Came A Spider is terrible! Completly changes the book and lacks any of the suspense that the book had - only good thing in it was Morgan Freeman!
ironicly i hav just watched kiss the girls and its a fab film, a really gud twist at the end and i think the bit wer he shoot thru the milk carton is sooo clever lol (small things amuse small minRAB tho as they say)
I don't feel the films do the books justice at all and as someone else said for Along Came a Spider they change the story
they kill off Gary Soneji at the end of this film
Was completely not in the story at all.
Morgan Freeman is good as Alex but i don't feel he is anywhere near the age/physique etc as what comes across in the books, i think Denzel Washington would be better cast as Alex
Morgan Freeman is definately not the same as the character is described in the book - he should be younger and he has children. But I love Morgan Freeman in anything.
Kiss the Girls stays truer to the book but everything in ACAS is changed! For starters, in the book there
both children are kidnapped and are put underground, not in a boat, and one of them dies (if I remember correctly).
Yeah that's right that does happen, and the time scale in the book is so much longer, is it about 2 years??
Also cutting the Disney World scene's out where Alex had to go and collect the money,
totally rubbish film.
They have made mini-programme things for a few of James Patterson books but they're only on in America, would like to see what they're like, can't remember which ones they've done now, i know there were rumours about the Women's Murder Club becomming on mini thing.
As well as missing out the tension of the book, the film also doesn't portray how intelligent the killer is. The guy is a genius in the book and thats how he
escapes in the end
. In the film he just comes across as a regular (!!) killer.
