Hi,
In the past couple of weeks, I've been experiencing what I can only describe as a seemingly constant hunger, but not all the time...if that isn't contradictory!
What I mean is, I'll eat a fair-sized meal, but I'll still have a hunger-like sensation, especially in my arms. I also sometimes get a feeling of hunger in my stomach as well, but I know I'm full.
I don't have a lack of energy, though, and can easily manage my day-to-day activities, although sometimes my hands are bit...not shaky, but like hands get when you're very hungry!
I mentioned this to someone in my family, and their immediate response was that it could be diabetes. Two members of my family have type 1, so there is a history of it, although my diet isn't anything out of the ordinary so I don't know what could have set it off, if it is indeed that.
I've decided to go to the doctor if it hasn't cleared up by the end of the week, although I'm one of these people who dreads going in case it's something serious (and, strangely, that doesn't include diabetes, because I know it's manageable, i.e. it's not something fatal
) Can anyone perhaps put my mind at rest, based on what I've described (and what I've described is what I'd say to my doctor anyway).
Thanks.
