I just recently purchased a Samsung Delve (alltels version of the instinct). I quickly activated it on cricKet with simnple flash via cdma workshop. now I have done several instincts with working wap, but this one is much different. I have tried entering crickets wap/mms settings using the phones provisioning menu to no avail. The samsung instinct dll does not work with this phone either. Does anyone have the alltell r800 samsunsg pst dll? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had one a while back. The only thing I could ever get to work on it was wap. I couldnt figure out the correct mms settings. The r800 dll is posted over on m-f.

I am resurrecting this thread to try and figure out the mms settings. I have been changing settings for about 6 hours now this should be so simple as it doesnt appear as if the settings are locked or hidden in anyway I just can not seem to get it to work. I have changed the settings with spst as well as qpst and cdma ws also editing the settings on the hanRABet itself. I am sure its something simple I am missing. I have also tried dozens of settings all of the Samsung settings I know of that have worked for me in the past as well as searching and finding some I never knew about I have also tried some lg methoRAB of settings nothing seems to work. Can anyone offer anything on this phone?

I am sure many have accomplished this before me, but here's how i got wap working on the delve.

You will need qpst, samsung pst w/ r800 dll, and at this point I assume cricket prl has already been loaded

1. connect via qpst and change mip tab as well as ppp config tab um and an to (your nuraber)@mycricket.com as usual and enter cricket under password fielRAB

2. connect using samsung pst selecting r800.dll and change settings in is-95/1x/1xEv-do(multimode...) to match these.. of course use the phone nuraber instead of 0000001234

qnc_enabled disable
Mip_Mode simple ip only

Mip NAi [email protected]
Dun Mip NAi [email protected]

reverse tunneling not preferred

Sip NAI [email protected]
dun sip nai [email protected]
an nai [email protected]

3. and finally on the phone enter ##3282#
select wap set, edit, enter 000000, hit ok
and change proxy settings to wap.mycricket.com and port to 8080

username should be your (ph #)@mycricket.com like always
user password cricket
and homepage http://wap.cricket.motricity.com

hit back arrow, done, and back. Voila your golden....

now I have edited mms settings using pst and phone menu but have been unable to send or receive pictures. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. thanks goes to to all contributing merabers of hofo, jramos for pointing me in right direction, and especially the masters, and we all know who they are.

jsnow0626, I strongly agree that you should make a full "How To Flash: Samsung R800 Delve to Cricket" thread!

Here in the next few minutes I'm about to purchase one.

I am using SamaungPST download for the above link, i can flash to alltel but not able to change the IS-95/1X/1X EV-DO settings. ALL the settings are in gray which cannot be changed.can some help me here. Thanks

I've got a question about the wap on the delve. Whats with the error "Unable to read file with this tcp connection. network may be busy" on countless different pages. Gmail being one of them or MSN mobile mail. I have no problems with most sites like mail.yahoo just some key ones I would like to access.
In terms of mms outgoing pic message is cancelled by ??? and incoming tries to download message and message delivery fails. Receive message that I got a new pic message go to it in inbox says who its from and pic or vid message just no message. ??????????

thanks for reply, i am using the current DLL , downloaded from m-f , i guess thats what every one is using. Is DLL version differs from SamsungPST_Lite to samsungPST.

i have followed the instructions and i did everything double checked refreshed still saying network error plz try again later can someone help plz thanks in advance

I have not tried this yet, I'm hoping here to do so soon... I recommend using the DLL found via looking for it. Once you can read the R800 using the Alltel Dll, then simply change your mms settings.

I do not remeraber what the labels are for the settings but I believe the MMSC URL is

mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms

Upload URL 111111

then the short version of the MMSC URL (you'll see it when your looking, should already be there, but just in-case)

/servlets/mms
