So it's been a month since since my first canker sore on tonsil. Doesn't hurt very mild discomfort. So I noticed today another one bigger than the first. Getting allergy shots for re occurring sore throats due to post nasal drip.. Or rather just the left side of my throat.. Never the right side unless it was strep. So needless to say the canker sore is on my left tonsil. My shot therapy is in the once a week dosage and I happens to get it yesterday. Not allergic to any fooRAB so my shots don't contain any food allergens, just grass weeRAB etc. Is there any way that I am getting these canker sores because of my allergy shots? Any help would be great.
And it's not a tonsil stone

Doubt it seriously. I find they are usually caused by acid in my diet - tomatoes, oranges, etc - if I don't rinse my mouth well after eating them.

I also think it's unlikely to be related.

The most common reaction to allergy shots is a bump/redness/itching near the injection site. Rarely, they cause sneezing, full-body itching or difficulty breathing. I can't see them causing just canker sores though.

Have you tried gargling with warm salt water? It works well when I get canker sores, and it's pretty harmless.

thanks for the replies. i know its not strep mono, tonsil stone or anything like that. no fever very mild discomfort. when i had a smaller one about a month ago my doc gave me antiobiotics cause we both thought it was an infection. but the little suck just stayed consistent in size and in discomfort(first definitely felt worse than this one). and also it took around 2 weeks to go away which is in the wheel house for a canker to heal. dont be grossed out i want you guys opinion on what u think.

I didn't look at the pictures but there is a mouthwash you can use to get rid of them in your mouth so I would imagine you could gargle back far enough with it. It's called Magic Mouthwash and is available by prescription only thru your dentist.
