I started allergy shots last June, started having asthma like symptoms in July, stopped the shots at the end of August due to death in the family, and death of a pet, and dealing with a terminally ill sister...I started the allergy shots again week before last and the last week, my breathing problems started again....

I guess my question is, how do I tell whether this is stress related to anxiety or could I possibly be getting these symptoms from the shots? Is there a definitive test for asthma?

I recently went to counseling to deal with the anxiety issues, but am wondering if the allergy shots have not brought out the asthma that I may have had a touch of but not noticable, till I started the shots?

I am going to an ENT office for this treatment, and don't feel good about the info I get relating to my treatment, I am thinking of switching to an allergist...but at this point, I have no idea whether to take meRAB for anxiety or asthma.....

can anyone identify with the difficulty breathing as a result of allergy shots? thanks for any advice

Could be and maybe not. At the very minimum I would see a pulmonologist for a pulmonary function test for asthma. Keep in mind that many people have both allergy issues and asthma. And I would seriously consider changing to an allergist as well.

I know that I can't take the allergy shots because I am allergic to the phenol/preservatives they use in the shots. I get very hyper.

I've had a similar experience with allergy shots. I had bad Asthma up in Pittsburgh. I moved down to Florida from Pittsburgh, and my Asthma went away, but my sinuses got nasty.

I went to an allergist because of my terrible sinuses. My sinuses were clogged and uncomfortable all the time, but I didn't have any breathing problems.

After I went through a series of Allergy Shots (SCIT), my sinuses got much better but my Asthma came back and I started having heart rhythm problems.

Don't know if this is the same thing as you are experiencing, but just thought I would post my similar problem as yours.
