Allergy medications

I am taking Clairatin-D, but for the past several days it seems to not be working at all. I can't even fully sleep at night. I took one this morning anyway and it is 24 hour, but I am still completely stuffed up. Would there be an adverse effect if I took something else way before the 24 hrs is up?

Possibly rebound from so much decongestant....and that can cause sleep issues as well. It's an upper. Try a saline rinse or spray and try the non D version of the claritin or zyrtec, etc. You also might try a benedryl at bedtime as that helps my congestion from the dust mite allery.
