I'm 35 now and every time I drink lager/beer I get diarrhea. It usually starts within about 6 hours of my first drink when I need the toilet and usually a bit of liquidy stuff comes out and then it gets gradually worse until full blown diarrhea occurs until I have stopped drinking for a significant amount of time at which point it clears up.
I've done some googling and it seems this is quite common but there is a serious lack of info on what can be done to prevent it (if anything).
I'm not a big drinker anymore and usually enjoy a few glasses of wine during the week and I'm preferctly fine. The problem only occurs when I have a day or night out with my mates and enjoy a few lagers/beers. The weird thing is that it's worse when I drink pints than bottles but it does cause me quite a few problems.
Any ideas what I can do other than give up lager/beer altogether. Like I said the times I drink lager/beer with my mates now is few and far between but I'd like to enjoy the few occasions that I do drink.
Help me please.
