I tested for allergies this year, I tested positive only for a grass allergy but every time I have puffy eyes the pollen count will be med to high , and it never says that one of the main pollens is grass! So I am confused.....

Has anyone else experienced this or does anyone else understand a correlation between grass and other allergens?

I know I am not crazy because my eyes dont do this when the pollen count is low....so there has to be a connection

The grass pollen season is pretty long in a lot of places. And high pollen days are determined partly by weather conditions. So even if, say, trees are the dominate pollen, there might still be quite a bit of grass pollen in the air too.

And you evidently are allergic to all or at least most of the grasses. Did you get them separated out to know exactly which ones and how much? They didn't do that to me till I decided to go on the injections so they may not have for you. Turned out I was a 4 on all of them! But anyway, grasses grow at various times and do have a long season as a result. So if you are very allergic to grasses, it doesn't take much to have a severe reaction.

There are multiple websites out there that you can use to look up pollen counts with a specific breakout in all areas. My state has a link on its .gov website to its division of air quality. They record not only the pollen counts broken out, but also the quality of the air in multiple areas in an hour to hour breakout. There are also some good websites from local allergy clinics that measure pollen counts.

I have severe grass allergies. Even after years of immunotherapy, I start having bad symptoms before I see registered pollen counts reported on the news. When I look up a local pollen report, it is typically pretty low for grasses when my symptoms start in. I guess we are some of the "lucky few" who are so sensitive in this area.
