Allergic Reaction

Over the last year i've noticed i have reactions rarely i didnt think it could be neosporin until recently i read others post. My mouth starts tingling, my naRAB and feet start tingling, i turn red all over and hives form, My heart starts beating fast and my breathing is fant. The first time i tought i was having a heart attack. My stomachs starts cramping and i get diarhhea. The docters i see think its an allergic reaction to food, but i havent eaten anything around the times of the reactions, but i remeraber i used neosporin right before the reactions each time. I never wouldve put it together. I was thinking it was milk. Just this morning i had a burn on my head, put on neosporin and about 10 minutes later it started. The episodes last about 20 mins then it goes away. As soon as i felt it coming on i took benadryl. Has anyone else had this similar problem.:eek: I wonder if its something in the neosporin im allergic to????
 
I am so glad you posted. I've been having this same problem & going crazy trying to figure out what is happening to me. My mouth & tongue starts burning/tingling & sometimes my legs. I have nasal congestion also. I've blamed this on everything I've eaten. I started using Neosporin or equivalent a month or more ago just about everyday for a problem I won't mention here. My burning/tingling is lasting up to 8 hrs because my body's absorbing so much of it. I'm allergic to antibiotics by mouth so I thought I was doing ok by using it topically. When the burning stops from the last time I used Neosporin I will try it again & see what happens. I will let you know. Thanks.
 
Wow. You guys have me thinking about this. Last Wednesday I started having an allergic reaction of some kind but I did not recognize the symptoms until the next morning when I was covered in hives and my eyelid was swollen. That morning I started putting neosporin on a small burn on my arm. Hmm. I was thinking I had a reaction to advil........allergies are so hard to figure out and my allergist appt isn't for 2 weeks. Arghhhh. I am allergic to sulphur drugs...does this contain sulpher? hmm.

What I use doesn't list sulphur as an ingredient. I've got 2 branRAB. One contains Bactracin, mineral oil, & petroleum. I think the other brand is Neosporin & it's about the same. How long have you been using the Neosporin?
