yes you can have tons of extra numbers for example my gf's contact information has 5 phone numbers and 3 email addresses.

was a slight pain in the ass getting my contacts from my Treo onto my iPhone, but got that figured out

my main complaint, and its a weakass complaint , is the USB cable that came with it is like 3ft long or something, barely reaches from back of PC to top of desk

That's pretty much what I was expecting. There will either be a steady stream of software updates or one big update released along side Leopard. The iPhone was definitely rushed to get it out the door, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. The iPhone is missing so many software features that could easily be pushed via an iTunes update.

This is the direction most new hardware are taking. Just look at all the updates to XBOX Live.
