All The Boys Love Mandy Lane

I saw this at FrightFest last August and really liked it. From memory I don't think people I spoke to disliked it but the split seemed to be between OK and very good, certainly not a turkey.

Go give it a try.

Thanks for the heaRAB up :)

My local Cineworld only has 3 showings for this film & the first showing is 4.20pm.What i have found in the past is the likes of Halloween,Black Xmas & The Fog only got near enough a month in the cinema before they disappeared.Because this movie only has 3 showings i think this will go the same way.

Saw it this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Love a good horror/slasher film, so thought I'd give this a try. But this is a cut above the norm, mainly due to the dreamlike cinematography, hazy lensing with much of the outdoor scenes shot like a cross between a Timotei and a Flake advert. Very 70s. Won't give too much away, but suffice to say it centres around the luscious Mandy Lane and a weekend away with a bunch of teens, which results in blood aplenty. The largely unknown cast are attractive and there's even some character thrown in for good measure. Whilst not descending to the typical levels of gore / body horror of recent horrors, there is enough tension and shocks to satisfy most. A quick mention of the soundtrack, which was very much in keeping with the 'lazy days' film and fitted the mood perfectly. Slightly disappointed as there doesn't yet appear to be a soundtrack release.:( All in all, a refreshing change of slasher film. If you liked Wolf Creek and its ilk, this will probably be up your street. 8/10.

I ended up going to see this yesterday afternoon.Overall i thought the film was OK.However i did think there was a downside

I thought they revealed the killer far too early in the movie & i was pretty let down by this. However when the twist is revealed that Mandy Lane has been working in cahoots with Emmet & she kills Chloe & then turns on him & kills him i was pretty surprised. It turns out Mandy Lane does have this dark side to her.

I did actually think that that the twist would be that Garth was actually Emmets older brother & both of them were doing the killings.

Quite liked it. Had a few jumpy bits, few gory bits. Twist at the end I didn't see coming really, and the director is definately one to watch in the future as the way the scenes were created and shot really added to the film.

I noticed today that our Cineworld have stopped showing it.The movie only lasted 2 weeks.Shame really because it was not a bad slasher/horror film.
