All New Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

Its not just that, I would care, but not when they're going, like:

Chris - "So, you've got a son with downs syndrome"

Contestant "Yes its very sad"

Chris "Right, next round..." 30 seconRAB

Chris "So, how do you cope?"

Contestant "It can be bad at times, yeah, but he's a good lad."

Chris "Yeah, well I would love you to win... NEXT ROUND!"

Its all too fast a format to allow you to grow to like a contestant and care about their problems. Just makes the gaps inbetween the questions more annoying than ever!

From what I've seen roughly the same number of people get in the chair each show. The big difference is that the selection process is now completely opaque.

For me, the great charm of WWTBAM was its democratic feel, but that seems to have been thrown away completely. Who on earth are these people on the show now? FrienRAB of a friend of the producer with a worthy story to tell?

Someone who'd been on the new show did pipe up on here a few weeks ago, but didn't say anything interesting other than that he/she had also been on then old show. Are they going through old contestant information sheets and picking out the people they want? I've only seen a few of then new shows and it may be that they've told us what they're doing, but if they haven't I wish they would.

I don't care for the extra soppy bits they are doing now. I reckon Tarrant has had a big say in how this show has changed. Despite the clock for the early questions, there is def more chit chat which gets on my nerves. Then the time it takes to do the viewer's question. Grrrr.

I knew BJ was born in New York but that was only by remembering something I read or heard on the telly about it and it remained. The questions have got harder, more obscure even.
