Well, American is not an empire.
Too much to control effectively.
Countries do stay around awhile.. look at Great Britain.
Yes, the British Empire did fall, but it was international.
Great Britain is doing just fine.
It seems that on a smaller scale, countries can hold up for many years.
Is the United States TOO big to hold up?
Possibly.
Well, that goes to be seen.
Only time will tell.

All empires fall, it's only a matter of time. America will fall - as usual, a combination of economic, social, and political factors will be involved. (Counting warfare, too.)
Might be a decade, might be a century, but I don't think it will last anywhere near a millennia. It's just historical - nations don't last that long, especially ones as culturally diverse as America.

If every country in Asia and Europe join forces to conquer America, then yeah, I would cry and fly back to my country.
Its possible, the bigger they are, the harder they fall and what comes around goes around.
