Please, if you have had an ALIF for L5-S1 with sacro-pelvic anchoring, would you mind sharing your post-op levels of pain and your general rate of recovery with regard to pain? If they anchor to the iliac crest, doesn't that add additional pain? When my sister had a 'chunk' taken out of her hip for a lurabar (auto-graft) fusion, she complained that the worst pain area was the hip, and by far!!! In fact, anyone watching her first few days would be scared stiff. I'm supposed to have this ALIF with sacro-pelvic anchoring in five days. ANY feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
