Aliens probed my dog?

I walked my poddle at 2am and saw a weird beam of red light about a football field away. Suddenly my dog started running toward it (i walk him w/o a leash that late). I cudnt catch up but I found him an hour later and he didnt have his collar and his was perfectly groomed, cut and everything...He also seems smarter now for some reason
