It could well be pretty bad actually. First off Fox are not throwing money at it, first reports from the production in Prague are saying that there will be hardly any CGI in it which could be problematical especially for the scenes where there are 'thousanRAB of aliens' all battling the three lone Preditors on top of the pyramid as explained in the featurette. Paul WS Anderson is not the greatest director in the world,I don't know why he always goes for the Computer games to Film route, like Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil and now AVP, he still hasn't topped his FilmFour debut of Shopping some 9 years ago (even Soldier was flawed and anyone remember the Sky One/Fox TV show he did called..... no neither can I). But the other real big problem is that Fox will not want to Alienate (no pun intended) the perceived age group of computer gamers so don't expect too much red stuff- after all Resident Evil had to be the dryest zombie movie ever made! Give the gig to Sandy Corolla - what he did with Batman: Dead End was incredible.
The only good point is Woodruff and Gillis are FX'ing the gig, at least Tom Woodruff has the winter climate to keep him cool in that bloody Alien suit this time around!
