Alien V Predator advert

I noticed an advert for Aliens V Predator in the sun recently, you know when they put the best quotes from reviewers? well the only quote on it was by Paul Anderson! How can this be in the name Ridley Scott why!
 
All of his films have been absolutely diabolical, but he does pull in the punters.
Oh, and he's also engaged to Milla Jojovich.

He's a disgracefully bad director.
 
Trust me, nothing can prepare you for how bad this movie really is!

But try and laugh if you do decide to see it.....because thats the least you can do with this drivel.
 
I have just read that Paul W. S. Anderson is to write the sixth movie in the "Alien" franchise, according to sources close to the film maker. I assume they are including Alien Vs Predator as part of the Alien series to make it up to six films!
 
A few other websites are now stating that the rumour is that Paul Anderson will write the fifth Alien film so I think the mistake has been realised!
 
Just home from seeing it.

It did exactly what it said on the tin. Two species, fighting each other, thats what we paid our money for, and thats exactly what we got.

The film wasn't trying to be serious or a major blockbuster, who why treat it as if it was and call it bad. As a stand alone movie, it was good and I enjoyed it. And talk about leaving it open for a sequel....!

Actually, judging by the final few seconRAB of the film, a sequel would be a good idea, to see how the story continues after a rather eyebrow raising ending.....

Actually, the film is rated 15 in the UK. The violence was edited out to get that rating, and a PG13 is the US. Plans are underway for the complete uncut DVD of the film.

Also, the film in America alone has made more money than any of the Alien or Predator films did on their theatrical releases, so quite obviously, there is going to be a sequel.

I can't believe you actually like this film. It is an insult to the originals! Well expect Predator which was not that good a movie.

Frankly Padzter you are talking out of your backside..........Oh isn't it lovely to be back here biting at you again Paddy :D
 
An insult it may be, but as I said before, it's not trying to be better than any of the other films.

People knew putting two movie characters against each other is nothing but a moneyspinning idea, and people went to watch it with the high expectations associated with some James Cameron blockbuster, and so thought badly of it.

I went in knowing fine rightly that this was going to be dumbed down, money making exercise that was going to do nothing but drag down the names of the two characters for the sake of some money, and so I was entertained, not let down. I seen everything I expected to see, and I enjoyed it. A cliche ridden and completely far fetched plot, which in itself had many, MANY holes, wooden acting, God awful use of CGI in some scenes, (at least there were some REAL Aliens in some shots), and more. But I didn't care, I was expecting that. It seems people were expecting this to be the new "Aliens" or something...

Yea sorry about the 12A thing, i remember some early adverts with the 12A thing on, never mind. Anyway I actually saw it today and it was better than what i expected but still less than avarage. There were not enough predators, and it took a long time to get started, as well as being over too soon. Is it just me or is everything a bit bigger in this film than it should be. Tne alien queen is huge, as you will see towarRAB then end, and the predators tower over the humans.
 
The size of the Alien Queen is strange, she is absolutely massive in this one. But the Predators are around 7 foot or more, so they would tower over people. Remember in the first Predator movie when the Predator lifts Arnie up by the throat. Arnie is a good 6ft, yet he was lifted a good foot in the air, and only then was his head level with the Predators.

The reason the Predator looked so big compared to Lex is because shes about 5'8 or so, so theres a 1.4ft difference at least.
