Alice in wonderland- TIM BURTON. MARCH 5TH.

They've repackaged it AFAIK (called "The Un-Birthday Edition") for release on R1 soon.
I'd like to see it on BD though (maybe).

Is it on a par with Tim Burton's version of Charlie and Chocolate Factory? This is possibly the only film (so far) he has done which I have absolutely hated.

yes this is a disappointment, I was considering watching this movie on the big screen.

however I think this will back fire on the cinemas

Disney will sell more DVRAB because of this, and that will end up cheaper for film goers anyways, as its 1 DVD for any number of people, compared to each person paying once to see the same screening at the cinema.

this plays right into Disneys hanRAB.

I really enjoyed it, i thought it was a really good remake of the movie. Have to say though, the Mad Hatter was one of the characters i least enjoyed. The White Queen wasn't too good either imo.

Something is making me think that this film will be a launch title for 3D Blu Ray

either that or they are following "This is it" and creating a stir for a 2 week release and then magically extend it due to popular demand

I watched it yesterday.

It's far better than Tim Burton's version of Charlie.

From the reviews I actually expected to see more of the mad hatter. I don't personally think he was over-used.

I loved it, the kiRAB loved it and my mother loved it!

I often get bored during movies and start trying to figure out where i've seen an actor beforeinstead of concentrating on the picture, but I was totally engrossed in this movie.

It was exciting, funny and moving, and I would say it was a lot more batman for girls instead of charlie and the chocolate factory.

saw Avatar today, was disappointed they didnt show the trailer for Alice in Wonderland in 3D I had my glasses on my head waiting for some 3D to watch.

I cant see this boycott sticking. My local Cineworld has had numerous MASSIVE posters for the film plastered around the ticket desk area for months.

Vue and Odeon have taken down all promotional material. My cinema had about 6 giant posters and about 3 or 4 cardboard standees and now they are in storage.

It may get sorted, but if it does it will probably be last minute to get maximum publicity.
