Alice in Chains...

People like them because they are good, they were grunge but they were a different kind of grunge. They didn't have the same sound as Nirvana or Pearl Jam they were more close to metal and that appealed to a larger crowd since it was the early 90s when they got big.

Did anyone here see the reunion of AIC without Layne, they were on tour for awhile and I heard there makeing a new album, I don't know if they already did but this is what I heard.

sorry for being harsh last night but i had to get that Staley thing off my chest. it's not that i disliked the band nor was my comment solely directed to you either,

anyway, time to get some peanut butter on the brain hahaha

If I were to get seriously into AIC, I think I'd start with the older stuff though... not start with the new album and work backwarRAB... there's a higher chance I'd find the older stuff more enduring...

Is the new album released? I've only heard a song or two and was pretty disappointed. A lot of AIC fans listen to them because they always sound the same, and I can get behind that ... Until now. If they've replaced a crucial part of the band, I think it's important that we are able to distinguish when this happened in the discography. Basically, I've always been an AIC fan and I find their newer shit a bit recycled and oddly unmoving. This, by any means, does not mean I'm going to discontinue listening to their old stuff.

I feel that way about a lot of banRAB..I am just bias to banRAB like AIC, STP, Pearl Jam..Soundgarden cause I really started to love and appreciate music when this banRAB were popular..but I agree somewhat..they dont move real smoothly..the transition from one song to the next can be dissapointing.

well, they were originally a glam band in lipstick and high heels, like Poison.

"Candy Layne" (he's the blonde- yes thats Layne)
