Your son might like the Alias2 because of how it works. The dual-hinge and the E-Ink functions are eye catching, just the type of thing a teenager might be looking for. But I'll say the Env3 is a better phone for quite a few reasons.
1. It's less likely to break. That dual hinge on the Alias isn't the sturdiest of designs from an engineering standpoint. And we all know just how delicately a 14 year old will treat their phone... whereas the Env3 has a more thoroughly bolted hinge.

I sell these phones, so I get to handle them everyday. The Alias is a nifty phone, but I think the ENV3 is Verizon's best phone that is neither touchscreen nor smartphone. Even for your kid.
